Born and raised by Taiwanese immigrant parents in New York City, Jackie's creative journey was ignited by her early exposure to various art scenes and subcultures of the '80s and '90s. With a Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts and an MFA in Cultural Management from the University of Maastricht, Jackie laid a solid foundation for her diverse creative pursuits. Her work draws inspiration from the compositions and color theories of her fine arts background. Whether immersed in the energy of events or capturing the candid authenticity of everyday life, Jackie is passionate about capturing people in their best light.
Now based in San Diego, Jackie is more than a photographer and creative; she actively contributes to the LGBTQ+ community as co-chair of Art of Pride, a program of San Diego Pride. Additionally, she serves on the San Diego City College Photography Advisory Board, where she supports student engagement, advocates for diversity, and positive learning environments. Jackie's dedication to fostering accessible and safer spaces for creativity and self-expression truly makes her an integral part of her community.
